“Riding and owning stallions is a great honor and obligation,” explains Grand Prix dressage rider Karin Reid Offield. “The privilege is two-fold. There is the day-to-day interaction with the horses that is remarkable. During the ride, stallions allow us to experience their power, strength and majesty. Secondly, if we are fortunate to own a desirable breeding stallion, each spring mare owners will seek us out, and we are able to enjoy the excitement of watching the next generation’s talents unfold.”
