LOUISVILLE and LINGH and TIAMO
OFFSPRING FOR SALE
From time to time we learn of foals, fillies and colts for SALE and we will be creating this site for that NEWS. I will try to provide you with the most up-to-date information on these young sport horses. I wish that we could buy them all at OFFIELD FARMS and give them the training and upbringing they require to be the best they can become. I am happy to help you with any training advise, rider referrals, or guidance that you ask for. My stable in Northern Michigan will open in mid April and will be an available site to bring these youngsters along. We are a long ways from horse shows and Florida, but we can offer you help. Send me emails at info@offieldfarms.com with details about the horse for sale, photographs and videos if possible and lets see if we can let this website work for you. Tell your friends to keep checking with me here and good luck with your babies whether you keep them or post them for sale.

BONNIE
This mare is being offered for sale by her owner, Heather Buras. She can be reached at 404-267-3398. Her asking price is $4500.00. Her story was selected by the judges as one of their favorites, enjoy.
Because a Bonnie found herself in a terrible place… Gone from a safe home with the other mares to a dark, crowded trailer, she was packed in with eight other horses on a killer truck bound for a late Monday night sale in Tennessee. Hardly where a successful Thoroughbred should ever end up.Life can cast her smile on anything she chooses, and the day that truck rolled into A Pinch of Luck was the day that Bonnie was born again. She didn’t have to go through that sale. She didn’t end up on another scary trailer. Instead, she found herself at a farm that prides itself as a safe place for retired racers—and with a new mom who was aching to find a mare nice enough to breed her next competition horse from. The art of placing racehorses in new homes is a gift that Bonnie’s new mom is blessed with, but the trade-off is never allowing herself the luxury of falling in love with any of them—far too many to help to even dream of keeping them all! But Bonnie changed that.Bonnie’s entrance into Heather’s life came as a chance thing. A strange series of events led Heather to meet the man who drove the truck that Bonnie was on. It turns out that he regularly ships racers who aren’t winning to the sale that Bonnie was bound for. Some find homes with people like Heather who are willing to take the time to give them a new start. Others find themselves on a new trailer bound for a feed lot, and then the end.
Hope comes in strange packages. For years, Heather had been talking about breeding a horse for her. With so many horses coming and going, it just never seemed to be the right time or the right place. When Bonnie arrived the first question that everyone asked was, “Is she pregnant?” The answer was no, but the seed was planted. There was disappointment at the lack of pending foal, but with that disappointment came the desire to find a stallion who would be a good cross for Bonnie. She’s a bold mare with a confident disposition who obviously loves being a mother. From her first day at the farm, she adopted Oliver, a twelve year old Shetland pony as her own. They were “weaned” after Bonnie recovered from the trauma of her ordeal, and though she still wants to know where he is, she no longer pines for him when he’s out of sight. She will be a wonderful mother, of that there is no question. Her foal should be a wonderful athlete. Her gaits are strong and true. After a thirty three race career in which she won four races and placed or showed another ten, there is no question of her physical toughness. Her legs are strong and clean, her breathing clear and sound. A solid back, a nice topline, and strong quarters complete her physical picture.
The thought of a long legged foal, full of promise and hope for the future, the opportunity to take that baby, untouched and free from a haunting past, and mold it into a real life dream… those things made Bonnie safe, and that is how Lingh came into her life.
BONNIE IS A 7 YEAR OLD THOROUGHBRED MARE
